Hi everybody!
As you already know, last Friday I've been to Rome. It has been one of the best visits there. As I arrived I had the tipical "colazione romana"... here's a little tip for coffe addicted people: ask for a cappuccino, or if you really want coffee ask for a long one!... as I am sugar addicted I kind of ate sugar dipped into coffee (disgusting!).
I was with a friend of mine and she showed me the "unknown" part of Rome, the one where tourists don't usually go: piazza Bologna and so on (I don't remember the names of the places, I'm sorry ahah).
This friend took me into "Luiss University" where theorically only registered students can enter, but with little luck I was inside too! Amazing structure, amazing organization of spaces, I loved it!
And then... my world! We entered into "Bakery House Roma"  and I felt like I was in wonderland: cakes, muffins, brownies, all sort of sweets *.* We ended up having a slice of chocolate cake and a slice of coconut cake: big, tasty, full of calories, heaven on earth!
We took the metro in the worst time of the day: 1.30 p.m.! But it was funny, at that time you can see people from Rome, not tourists and you see every sort of people standing around you. If you go to Rome you should take the metro at least once!
And then we arrived to world famous part of Rome: Piazza di Spagna,... (of course we took the touristic photo ahah).
If you want to go shopping too I suggest this streets in the center of Rome: the famous Via dei Condotti (for more expensive and classy shops) and Via del Corso, but also Via Cola di Rienzo, on the way to go to San Pietro. If you're addicted to Harry Potter and the Lord of Rings you have to go to "Storia & Magia" shop...it's not like going to the amusement park in London, but it's very suggestive (in my opinion).
After a whole day spending walking and discovering a new part of Rome it arrived the time to go back home, with the promise I'll come back asap.
If you have already visit, or you will visit in the future, some of the places I mentioned, let me know your impressions :)
                   Love,
                                       Gloria
